Grand Kapihan / 25 October 2017

It was a good crowd that gathered this Wednesday at Italiannis Resto. The exceptionally long table set up by the Italianni waiters was fully occupied.  The occasion was the celebration of the October birthdays of 5 guys. The birthday boys (who treated Batch63) were: Joey Estagle; Francis Horn; Lito Domantay; Vic Corpus, Aderito Yuhuico; and Boy Carlos. 

The conversation going around was earnest despite being diversified and funny.  At least within hearing distance from where I happen to sit, the topics ranged from: Metro Sexual stuff (hair transplant, eyebrow tattoo, eye bag removal, etc.); latent passions (wind turbine machine invention); livelihood endeavor (vials of cure-all elixirs); hobbies (ballroom dancing and . . girls?); and projects (business and . . girls?). Leave it to Batch63 bravura for denying the limitations of aging!

Batch63 guys who attended the affair were: Jackie A; Eboy C; Joey (Baby) A; Ed L; Lito Q; Gabby V; Onie M; Bambi G; Joe A; Quito M; Ernie C; Steve H; Mandy I; Richard S; Polding A; Ex-Judge Manny Laurea (a first timer!); Joey I; Boy (Buddy) P; and Vince M. Thanks to Vince Misa for indefatigably organizing the Grand Kapihan and providing me with the list of attendees everytime.

A guest was "Big" Boy Cantada - DLSC Commerce Batch67 - who is a regular at Italiannis. Boy C is known to most of the Batch63 Italiani regulars.  Just before I had to leave the event at 10:30AM, I understand that Gary S. just called.  Gary arrived from the USA and he is at the airport baggage area.  He said he is going directly to the Kapihan and if people can wait for him. (I guess that will have to be for lunch!) On the other hand, it is spirit like this that keeps the Batch63 Kapihan so alive.  Welcome back Gary.
